Things you can do during Easter

Easter is the period when Christians celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We Christians believe that Christ was crucified buried and He rose again from the dead on the third day.

Easter celebration usually begins Friday which is the Good Friday, and ends on Sunday which is the Easter day.

Despite the fact that Easter is a time for sober reflection for remembering the great sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross for the whole of mankind, there are still some activities we can engage in that will help spice up our Easter celebration.

Some of those activities you can do during Easter include;

- Attend Church Services: It is important to attend both the Good Friday and Easter Sunday church services that marks the celebration of the resurrection of Christ from the dead.

- Visit Friends and Relations: Easter period is always a holiday period and break from work. You can use the Easter period to visit friends and loved ones who you haven’t seen for sometime. Most people living away from home use that period to travel home to see their relatives.

- Have a family feast: It's a great time to share with your family by having a family feast. This would normally involve preparing a special meal, eating in common and spending time in prayer to mark the occasion.

- Taking the family out: You guys can also go out for fun and do something together. There are many places you can go to for sight seeing or just a treat. You can go to the beach, restaurant, shopping mall and cinemas.

- Exchange of Gifts: Most People think that it’s only during Christmas and boxing days that they can exchange gifts. You can buy gifts for friends and loved ones during the Easter period.

- You can visit the less privileged and spend the Easter period with them. You will be putting smiles on sad faces when you visit them and shower them with gifts no matter how little the gifts are.
