Why a private car is saver than taking a public transport

Whether or not a private car is better than a public transportation is a debatable discussion. Several factors have to be considered and also in respect to the individual before one can actually tell which is better. But when it regards your safety, I strongly believe that using your private car is better off that going with a public transport.

Other than just the comfort and convenience you get when you are driving in your car, you also have full control over the whole process, unlike in a public transport where the drivers can some of the time drive recklessly and there's little or nothing you can do about it.

They can decide to speed up at will without your consent probably because they want to meet an appointment (that has nothing to do with you) or because they want to be fast so they can make more money within a short period of time.

Sometimes you can't tell if the driver is in perfect health and sanity. They probably have just taken alcohol and this could affect the sense of judgement. This is especially dangerous when you're driving on high way.

You can't really tell of the condition of the vehicles used in public transportation. Some drivers could be careless when it comes to their car maintenance. You can't tell if they go for maintenance regularly or recently. For some of them, their cars may not be in perfect condition and yet they still put in on the road. This is a risk to take as the car can simply malfunction on the road.

In cases on road accidents, statistics have even show that there are more casualties in commercial vehicles than private ones. A private car has more space and leg room than a commercial one and may also come with an air bag or other shock proof accessories that would increase chances of surviving than in a commercial vehicle. Also, private vehicles are normally better maintained than commercial ones use for public transport and that's why you should choose having a private car if you can.
