The Apple iPad 2 represents the 2nd Generation of ipad that was released into the market by Apple. Though it’s not the hottest thing in the market right now, but the device still has a place in the top notch of tablets. This article would take you through some wonderful features and attributes of the Ipad 2 and at the end, we would answer the question, "Is the ipad 2 still worth buying now"?

The physical specifications of the Ipad 2nd Generation Includes: The tablet comes with a 9.7-inch display, with a 1024x768 resolution at 132 pixels per inch. It has a height of 241.2 mm, width of 185.7 mm, and weighs 613 grams (for the 3g version) this is 15 percent less than the ipad 1St generation. It comes with an in built, 25 watt rechargeable lithium-polymer battery, which is equivalent to 6 hours of surfing the web on Wi-Fi, watching video or listening to music, and a protective scratch resistance glass, and also a Fingerprint resistant coating

Other features of the ipad 2nd Generation includes. An inbuilt storage capacity of 16GB, and a dual core A5X processor chip, and a CPU of 1 GHz Cortex-A9. The device comes with the IOS 4 operating system, but can be upgradeable to the latest IOS 7 Operating System. It supports both the 2G ad 3G networks. It also supports GPRS and EGDE. It comes with Bluetooth version of 2.1. The device has an inbuilt memory of 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB and has no space for an external memory slot. The Ipad 2nd Generation comes with Airplay that for view movies o the screen on a HDTV via the WIFI wireless connection.. The rear camera offers very decent image when used on a well lit area.

THE CONS OF THE 2ND GENERATION OF IPAD:

- The camera is not really worth it, when compared to what id obtainable in the market now.

- It lacks the 4G network and does not come with the LTE technology.

- It isn’t compatIble with other devices. It lacks USB port for such connectivity.

- The device has no support for adobe flash. This is used for video, and high resolute image viewing on web pages.

So this article has outlined the features of ipad 2, and coming back tour initial question, of whether it is still worth it to purchase an ipad 2, from my own opinion and from what we listed above, the ipad 2 is a very good device with both h3G fast network and all other features, but the truth is that, there are now better devices in the market, with better features such as the 4G network, LTE and other better features that can be seen on newer versions of ipad.
