How to reactivate DSTV service after it expires and is disconnected

It's normally better to pay for your DSTV subscription so that you don't get disconnected almost as soon as it expires and you may have to start making calls or visiting their office just to reconnect the service even after making payments later on. What do you do if your subscription has expired and you are disconnected but you want to pay and get it reconnected almost immediately? Well you can do it yourself if you have internet service and I'm going to show you how I did mine.

Steps involved are:

1. First make payment while your DSTV decoder is powered on and tuned to the free channel 100. You can make payment online at eazy.dstv.com, quickteller.com, internet banking service, mobile banking or ATM.

2. Wait for about 5 minutes to see if other channels will start showing. If not, go to step 3.

3. Go to eazy.dstv.com to reconnect

4. Log into your account using your name and account number

5. Click on the clear error codes relating to the error that is showing on your TV e.g. Error E16, E30 OR E32.

If you get a response that errors were cleared, then the scrambled channels on you DSTV will be unscrambled and you can start enjoying your subscription without having to call customer service or visiting their local office.
