How to open a UBA Savings account online

United Bank of Africa UBA is among the few old generation banks that are still in operation in Africa today. UBA now provides a platform where new Customers can easily create a new account online without visiting the bank. To create a UBA account online, all you need is your computer, an internet connection and your email address.

In this article, I will outline the process involved in creating a UBA savings account online.

Visit the UBA website at www.ubagroup.com/aop.aspx. You need to choose the type of account you wish to open. Since the type of account I wish to open is savings account, I will click on savings account and click on next. There are many other types of accounts available like Current account, domiciliary account, and non resident account for Nigerians that live outside the country.

You will be taken to a new page, where you will be required to fill in your personal data like; the type of account t, country of residence, UBA branch near you, your name, and email address then click on submit.

An email will be sent to the email address you entered on your personal data, and you are required to log in and verify the email address. You do the verification by clicking on the link that was sent to your inbox. It will take you back to the UBA website, to their Terms and Conditions page, where you will be required to carefully read through the terms and conditions, click on the little box below it to accept. After submission, you will receive an email from UBA that will contain your new account number. Finally, you will need to visit any branch of UBA near you to fill the Know Your Customer form.
