Bread is one of the most popular baked food consumed not only in Nigeria, but in many other parts of the world. Tt is made from dough which is baked and can be eaten with tea, coffee, juice, or oat meal. Due to the fact that bread loses it's freshness over a period of time after being baked, we have to agree that freshly baked bread may not exactly be the same as old bread.

We will make a comparism between fresh bread and old bread. Fresh bread in this context will mean a bread that is straight from the oven while old bread is a bread that can has stayed a coupled of days off the oven, probably on the shelf and the comparism will be on my personal experience and taste and you have a choice to always differ.

From my personal experience and what I see around, I feel that people prefer fresh bread to older bread because of the following reasons;

1. Fresh bread is more health: One of the reasons people prefer fresh bread is because being that the bread is fresh and straight from the oven and that's an indication that is it still safe for human consumption. Bread as a meal begins to get stale after 5 to 7 days, and people have the opinion that old bread may be stale and therefore bad for the body because it may have accumulated some bacteria or mold while on the shelf.

2. Fresh bread tastes better: Fresh bread has a better taste than old bread, and also the texture of fresh bread is very different from that of old bread. While fresh bread is very soft while for old bread is most times hard and tougher to chew because of long stay out of the oven and most people don’t go for it.
