Udara which is also known as white star apple is a fruit that is popularly seen in West Africa. The fruit is generally small in size, greenish when unripe and yellow in colour when fully ripe. It can taste sweet or sour, depending on the tree it came from and it is a seasonal fruit that bears fruit during a particular period in a year, and stops till the next year. Many people especially here in Nigerian enjoy the fruit during its season, but they don’t know the health benefits of the udara fruit. Lets checkout some few health benefits of this popular fruit. First, the fruit is a good source of Vitamins especially Vitamin C and also very rich in Iron.
