Brushing of teeth is one of the Personal hygiene habits we are taught from an early age; in fact we are advised to brush our teeth at least 2 times daily early in the morning before breakfast and late at night after the last food of the day. Proper brushing of teeth involves the use of toothpaste to wash out germs and dirt from the teeth.

- First, a recent study has found out that regular brushing of teeth decreases the chance of stroke, it is surprising that this serious ill health can be prevented by a simple personal hygiene habit.

- Secondly, regular brushing and flossing of teeth helps to prevent gum disease. This is serious because apart from causing bad breath, gum disease is another factor that contributes to heart disease, and a major cause of tooth loss.

- Thirdly A recent study has found out that regular brushing of teeth at least twice daily helps to prevent respiratory like pneumonia, this is because bacteria in the mouth usually finds there way into the lungs to multiply and cause diseases in the lungs.

-It has been proved that regular brushing of teeth helps in weight loss, this is because marinating a habit of brushing after meal sends a signal to the brain that time for eating is over.

Finally, it gives you fresh breath which increases your self esteem when you related to other people, because bad breath decreases self confidence.
