Causes of frequent sneezing

Sneezing is a sudden surge of air through the nose and mouth; it is an involuntary action that is caused by irritation to the mucous membrane of the throat or nose. It is natural to see people sneeze a lot during cold or extreme dry weather. Down here in Nigeria, superstition has it that when ever someone sneezes that it means somebody somewhere is calling the person’s name; I don’t know how true this fact it; but I will focus more on some of he causes of sneezing in this article;

- Allergy: When you are allergic to something, it can induce constantly sneeze until you leave the scene where it is located; the thing you are allergic to causes nasal irritation which leads to sneezing; common allergies can be caused by Pollen, Dust, dander, or hay. The only solution to this is to avoid staying near the thing that induces such allergy.

- Cold: when ever you are feeling cold or chill it is very possible that you will start sneezing; this is because cold irritates the throat cavity which leads to sneezing and chills in most cases.

- Side effect from Drug: when a person who is into drugs like opiates or excessive alcohol consumption decides to put a stop to it, the person is likely to experience some withdrawal symptoms, and sneezing is one of the common withdrawal symptoms.

- Symptom Of Sickness: sneezing can also be a symptom of an illness or induced by sickness; asthma, respiratory infection can also cause sneezing.
