Dietitians and Nutritionists have advised that anybody that wishes to live a long healthy live should eat more of fruits and vegetables and little of carbohydrates, fats and sugar. Fruits are not only known to provide the body with vital nutrients and replenish major cells and organs of the body, they also supply the body with energy in the form of glucose. Some Nigerian fruits that give energy include;
1. Banana: this is one fruit that is packed with energy; banana contains high quantity of carbohydrate which is converted to glucose or energy inside the body; the fruit also have a high content of iron which is needed for production of red blood cells.2. Avocado Pear: this has a high content of plant fat which has low cholesterol content and also avocado is packed with fibre which aids the digestive system, coupled with the fact that it is an energy packed fruit.3. Paw-Paw: also known as papaya; most people take the unripe one for medicinal purpose, but for energy you need the ripe one; this fruit also provides lubricate to the joints in order to prevent arthritis. 4. Pineapple: Pineapple supplies the body with instant energy and also contains other health nutrients like Vitamin C, B1 and Copper in very good quantities; of course, this is for ripe Pineapples.
You can take this energy packed and nutritional fruits in exchange for other unhealthy snacks we take daily that is made of flour and sugar, which little or no nutritional value to the body.
