Curtains and blinds are an essential part of a house, be it office space, residential homes, there is need for curtains; a place without a curtain looks naked. Curtains come in different forms and makes, and it is advisable that the curtain should have the same colour blend as the rest of the room so as not to look abstract. In this article, I will mention some of the uses of a curtain and also its importance.- Aesthetic Purpose: this is one of the main uses of a curtain; it is used to complete the beauty of a room that is why a professional interior decorator must know how to blend curtains to match the colour of a room, and to enhance the beauty of that room.- Used As A Divider: some people use curtains as a divider to divide a big room into two. For instance, a home with a large space for a living and none for dinning room can decide to use a curtain to demarcate the living room to make space for a dinning room. - Used As An Insulator: A curtain can be used to insulator a room, in other words provide heat to a room especially thick curtains. During the periods when the weather tends to become very cold, a thick curtain can serve as an insulator by regulating the amount of cold air that gets into the room.- Privacy Reasons: this is the original reason why curtains where invented in the first place; to cover a room from outside view.
