Blogging has to do with creating an online presence with a website and providing valuable content to visitors that visit your site in the form of texts, audio, pictures and videos.

In Nigeria the blogging business is a very popular one, but there are only a handful of successful bloggers who actually make real money with it.

Due to the success of these few bloggers, many other Nigerians rush into the blogging business without knowing the rudiment or the process involved in blogging and after a while, when they don’t get any positive results, they become frustrated and quit the business.

The blogging business is a very lucrative one if done in the right way. In this article, am going to mention some the reasons why many Nigerian bloggers fail to make money in the blogging business.

Some reasons
==============
- Lack Of Passion: Most bloggers in Nigeria lack the passion required to stay through and succeed in the business, they only enter the business because they heard that so and so is making money in the business, and after a while if they money does not start coming in, they drop because they lacked the passion that would have seen them through when the business is yet to start making profits.

- Blogging only for The Money: The first fundamental process in blogging is to provide useful content so that your visitors can come back for more. After you get their trust, you can introduce them to products which they buy but in Nigeria, most bloggers are just there for the money, they don’t care to provide valuable content. Imagine somebody creating a blog today and already requesting unknown visitors to buy products the next day.

- No long term plan: Some people enter the business of blogging with little or no long term plan to keep doing it. It can be hard to succeed as a blogger within just 1 or 2 years in Nigeria and within those few years, it would be hard to have created thousands of blog posts. After about 1 or 2 years of blogging without any reasonable financial reward, a blogger easily gives up since he might feel that it wasn't worthwhile. A blogger needs to be able to wait for a long time until his blog becomes profitable.

- Little or no financial support: Blogging also requires having a sufficient amount of capital at least to pay for living expenses. Many bloggers start blogging without being able to finance their activities and so after running an unprofitable blog for some time, they give up since there is no way to support it. Some bloggers also blog without having any other reasonable means of income and so when blogging becomes the only thin they do full time, they soon leave it to either get a more reasonable job or business in order to make the money that blogging did not give them.
