Commercial motorcycles popularly known as Okada here in Lagos Nigeria is one of the prevalent means of transportations in Lagos. In fact, most Lagosians especially the workers amongst them prefer to patronize these Okada transport rather than taking a bus popularly known as the Molue buses.

5 reasons why Lagosians love the Okada transportation are:

a. It Saves Time: Most Lagosians prefer the Okada means of transport because it can get them to their destinations without wasting much time, and secondly, even when there is a slow traffic, an Okada can easily find its way through the traffic without waiting for countless hours, thus saving the passenger the much needed time.

b. Passengers get Fresh Air: Another reason why most Lagosians prefer the Okada transport is because it gives them the much needed fresh air during the trip, since an Okada has no covering, unlike the buses that is always crowded with little or no ventilation

c. If there are no available alternatives: Some times when the buses are not forthcoming, most Lagosians prefer to choice the next alternative transport which is Okada which is better than waiting or getting stranded at bus stops.

d. Ability To Negotiate Fares: One other funny reason why Okada is a preferred means of transport is because the passenger always has the privilege to negotiate for a cheaper rate, unlike the buses and taxes who enforce fixed fares as a result of their strong groups.

c. Laziness: Most Lagosians are guilty of this. An average Lagosian will prefer to take an Okada just in front of his or her home, rather than walk some long distance to the next bus stop.
