Why Nigerians are dying to get a US visa

If you get to the American embassy in Nigeria and see the number of young and older Nigerians trooping in their number for visa application, it will keep you wondering why the rush to leave the country. An average Nigeria is ready to give his right arm to get a visa to America instead of staying back in Nigeria; statistics shows that Nigerians have the highest number of applicants in the United States DVC Lottery where few citizens of various countries are chosen to go live in America as citizens.

The question now is why Nigerians are really dying to get the USA visa to leave Nigerians;

Some Reasons:

1. Harsh Economic Condition Of The Country: the economic condition of Nigeria is so bad right now; almost all the sectors are not working the way it should. Bribery and corruption is very prevalent in the country; youths are graduating in their thousands each year and no employment opportunity for them; these reasons are enough to make anybody wish to leave the Nigeria to another country to get a fresh start.

2. To Seek For better opportunities: most Nigerians belief that because America is developed nation, they have better chances of succeeding there than they have in Nigeria, so they will do anything to get a visa to travel to America.

3. For Vacation: very few Nigerians fall under this category; America has very historic locations and places of interest, some Nigerians seek for visa to go explore these historical locations and come back as part of their vacation.
